All because two people fell in love...

We met in February 1989, started dating in May, and got married in September. And Josh came *almost* 11 months later, just in case y'all were wondering. And then no more came. We waited, and waited, and then Lauren decided to make her debut in May 1995 (5 weeks early), and then Kayley 1997, Jacob 1998, Krissy 2001, Lindsey 2004 & Joey 2006. We lived in Texas until 2005, and then we moved to Arkansas, just about 25 miles north of Texarkana, Texas. Fortunately all my children are Texans (and my handsome husband) because Texans are just cool. Wish I was a Texan... but husband had to settle with a California gal, which I think is pretty cool too.

I miss Bluebonnets!

Shawn asked me if I wanted to go to Paris with him yesterday, and of course I said yes, since I had never been before. As we were headed there on 82 N. we came upon the state flower of Texas-- Bluebonnets-- outside of Annona. I haven't seen Bluebonnets in years!! Every year since we have moved here, and we would head to Killeen during Spring Break, it was just to early for them to bloom. We would see patches here and there, but nothing like I saw along the highway to Paris. It was beautiful!! I snapped this picture and sent it to Josh too.
Reason for Paris, Texas? Because this is the mini-tractor/lawnmower that Shawn has *always* wanted, and he found it on Craigslist early yesterday morning for a great price he says. Good thing for tax-refund. Bad thing for me. Never will get the cement poured now for my addition. So he called the guy, and he couldn't be there until 4:30. We left about 2p, and left Joey with Shawn's mom, which was a good thing. It would have been a long trip for him.
The guy and Shawn loaded the bush-hog thing (thing behind tractor) in first, then loaded up the tractor. We left, headed 8 miles south to Paris, and the trailer was jumping everywhere. The load was to heavy on the back of the trailer. I reminded Shawn that I had told them to load the tractor in first, but NOOOOOO, I didn't know what I was talking about.
Hmph! So we stopped at Auto Zone in Paris. Bought a $20 tow strap, and he backed up the trailer pulling the bush hog with him. Then he attached it to the front,
scrapping the nice cement along with it...
up into the trailer. Oh course, I had to take pictures of our redneck selves. I didn't take a picture of me because 1) embarrassed- haha! and 2) the wind was blowing mighty strong so the Aqua Net did not hold my hair in place,
and it was pretty much flat.
It's all loaded and we headed back to Ashdown. We got home at 8p. I never did get to see the Eiffel Tower with the huge cowboy hat, even though we did pass the "turn left sign" for it. Shawn said to plan a day trip for the family, and we'll come back.
And then I laughed... BUWAHAHAHAHA!!
