All because two people fell in love...

We met in February 1989, started dating in May, and got married in September. And Josh came *almost* 11 months later, just in case y'all were wondering. And then no more came. We waited, and waited, and then Lauren decided to make her debut in May 1995 (5 weeks early), and then Kayley 1997, Jacob 1998, Krissy 2001, Lindsey 2004 & Joey 2006. We lived in Texas until 2005, and then we moved to Arkansas, just about 25 miles north of Texarkana, Texas. Fortunately all my children are Texans (and my handsome husband) because Texans are just cool. Wish I was a Texan... but husband had to settle with a California gal, which I think is pretty cool too.

A new wallet

When I turned 18, my friend, Kenna, gave me a wallet. It was black and really nice since I had never had a new cool wallet like that before. I think the wallet I had before that was red, and I got it when I was like 11, so it had been a long time. I used that black wallet until 1992 (I think I actually still have it in my cedar chest!). Mom worked at a resale shop ran by the Junior League, and those rich ladies had to donate so many $$$ of clothes a year. Mom would call me whenever someone brought in nice stuff (especially from a few ladies who had sons just a bit older then Josh). The money that was made at the store was then donated to the community. The prices were never high, and quite affordable to a student's family. One day, a lady dropped off some stuff, and in her stuff was a blue Liz Claiborne purse & wallet. I loved that purse until it just gave way years ago, and used that blue wallet until last Saturday. That was 16 yrs! This is my new Liz wallet:

I got it at TJ Max's for $12. I am really excited for it. I love it! The inside is even pink, my favorite color! It has tons of pockets for my credit cards (LOL!), and a place for pictures. It came with a checkbook cover, but I couldn't get it to work with my duplicate checks, so I tossed that.
